| Im working on a show with my brother Tim Hutchinson whos a painter. He’s doing the walls and I’m filling the floor space with sculpture. “Double Vision” is the name of the show and its at Charles Hewitt Gallery who have changed address to 335 South Dowling Street Darlinghurst. Opens on the 1st Feb at 6pm. My work is focusing on the drought. Im using marble and greywacky, a stone from Hillend in NSW. The marble is hard to finnish, to get out all the bruises, but the finished product is great. So sensual to work with. My fingers are sore from sanding detail in the last figure ive been making. Its called “I thought I felt some rain” got its hands on top of the head and a surprised expression. Tim’s work is landscape and street scape. Its great to share thet space with your brother. Hope the show goes well. |
